Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop backend services and automation tooling in Python 3.x.
- Build and consume RESTful APIs using FastAPI / Flask / Django.
- Operate services on Linux (RHEL / Ubuntu / CentOS); manage users, groups, sudoers and file

permissions.

- Write robust Bash / shell scripts for deployment, scheduling (cron / systemd timers) and

housekeeping.

- Package, deploy and monitor services using systemd units, journald and standard Linux tooling.
- Diagnose production issues using strace, lsof, top, iotop, ss,



tcpdump and log analysis.
- Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD, container builds and server hardening.

Must-Have Skills

- 7+ years of production Python development (3.9+).
- Robust Linux administration: file system, processes, networking, systemd.
- Deep understanding of sudo and /etc/sudoers — privilege delegation, NOPASSWD rules, security

implications.

- Proficient in Bash scripting, cron, logrotate and SSH-based automation.
- REST API frameworks: FastAPI, Flask or Django REST Framework.
- Oracle database experience — PL/SQL, stored procedures, query tuning; cx_Oracle / oracledb

driver and SQLAlchemy ORM.

- Virtual environments, pip / poetry, packaging and dependency hygiene.
- Git-based workflows and code-review discipline.

Good-to-Have Skills

- Containerization — Docker, Docker Compose, basic Kubernetes.
- Configuration management (Ansible) or IaC (Terraform).
- Message brokers — RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis Streams.
- Observability stack — Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
- Async Python (asyncio, aiohttp) and concurrency tuning.
- Cloud exposure — AWS or Azure for compute, storage and secrets.
