sadboy pizza, a rapidly growing and award-winning pizza shop located in Georgetown, Ontario, is hiring a part-time line cook/team member.

sadboy pizza is more than just a pizza shop, it’s a community. Every pizza made and every customer interaction had matters.

As a line cook/team member, you’ll primarily be responsible for:

- Cook pizzas - Stretch, top, and bake pizza in a stone deck oven.
- Customer service - Take orders in-person and over the phone, cash customers out using our POS, and verify Uber and hand-off orders correctly.
- Restocking – Filling drink fridges, restocking kitchen fridges on inventory day, and assisting with inventory checks.
- Keeping workstation clean, cleaning dishes and utensils back of house, and keeping the store clean and orderly.
- Follow recipes thoroughly; maintain both quality and health regulation standards.

– Ingredient preparation including:

- Measuring dry and wet ingredients.
- Wash, chop and properly store vegetables.
- Slice meat using slicer, properly store meat, and thoroughly clean and sanitize processing equipment and prep station.

– Food preparation including:

- Portioning toppings and dips.
- Making roux and cooking sauces.
- Rolling and storing dough.
- Preparing desserts.

– Perform any other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

- Minimum of (1) year in a restaurant or food service experience or similar role.




- Smart serve required.
- Food handler certificate is an asset.

Requirements

- Evening and weekend availability is a must. Approx. 8-15 hours/week.
- Upbeat, can-do attitude, personable and strong communicator both with team members and customers.
- Ability to work efficiently, quickly, and safely in a fast-paced environment both independently and with others.
- Provide exceptional customer service, especially during busy dinner rushes.
- Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing 0-50 pounds during scheduled shift.
- Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk and squat (we have really low stairs in our basement) for long periods during scheduled shift.
- Strong self-starter; ability to multitask and/or focus on staying on task in a rapid-paced and small environment.

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 15.0 per week

Experience:

- pizza: 1 year (preferred)
