Job description:

Casket Depot Vancouver supplies caskets, urns, headstones and monuments directly to families and to funeral homes across BC and Ontario. Our monument division is growing quickly: we design memorials in-house, engrave them at our Surrey workshop, and handle the full cemetery approval and installation process for our customers.

The role
You’ll be the main point of contact for families and funeral homes ordering headstones, markers and monuments, guiding each order from first inquiry to installed memorial. It’s a hands-on coordination role that combines customer service, design, cemetery paperwork and production scheduling. No monument experience is needed; we’ll train you on our design tools, cemetery requirements and production process.

What you’ll do

- Respond to inquiries by phone, email and in the showroom; walk customers through options, prepare quotes and close sales
- Design headstones and markers with customers: layout, lettering, artwork and finishes
- Prepare and submit monument applications and permits to cemeteries, and confirm each design meets the cemetery’s bylaws and size requirements
- Coordinate production with our workshop and suppliers, tracking orders from approval through engraving to installation




- Keep customers updated at every stage and maintain accurate order records, proofs and sign-offs

What we’re looking for

- Explicit, professional communication, with the patience and care to work with grieving families
- Organized and detail-oriented, able to keep several orders moving at once without missing a step
- Comfortable with computers and picking up new software; a good eye for layout and lettering helps
- Sales or customer service experience
- Valid driver’s licence

Nice to have

- Headstone or monument design experience, or a background in the funeral or memorial industry
- Any graphic design, sign-making or print shop experience
- Mandarin or Cantonese
- Familiarity with cemetery paperwork or funeral home coordination

Pay and what we offer

- $24.00/hour to start, increasing to $28.00/hour after a successful three-month review (once you’re designing memorials and handling cemetery submissions independently)
- Full training in headstone design, cemetery requirements and our production workflow
- A growing division with room to take on more responsibility as it expands

Pay: $24.00-$38.00 per hour
