Summary

Lakeland Employment Services Program is looking to hire 1 permanent full-time Employment Facilitator to support Vegreville, AB.

Are you passionate about empowering individuals with barriers to employment to achieve their employment goals? Do you have a talent for building strong relationships and providing personalized support? If so, we’re looking for an Employment Facilitator to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide holistic support, conduct assessments, deliver workshops, and collaborate with employers to create an inclusive workforce.

As an Employment Facilitator, you will play a critical role in helping individuals with barriers to employment find and maintain meaningful employment. This hybrid role requires a compassionate, innovative, and self-motivated professional who can work independently and collaboratively. Your responsibilities will include client assessments, action plan development, facilitation of workshops, employer engagement, and proactive support to ensure long-term success.

This is a hybrid position. The work hours are split between working in a home-based office,



out in the community and meeting clients in the office.

Case Management & Client Support

- Conduct client needs assessments and create personalized action plans to address identified employment barriers, employability, interests and learning needs.
- Provide one-on-one and group coaching on job search strategies, interview preparation, and overcoming employment barriers.
- Assist clients with referral to alternative programs, community supports, and training opportunities.
- Develop client resumes, conduct mock interviews and support client job search.

Facilitation

- Deliver engaging in-person and virtual workshops to enhance employability skills.
- Develop and adapt program curriculum to meet the unique needs of clients. Assist clients with technology needs as required.

Employment & Community Development

- Build and maintain robust relationships with employers to create inclusive job opportunities.
- Educate employers about the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities and available support services.
- Actively participate in networking events, job fairs, and outreach to expand relationships with community partners and employers.

Qualifications:

- Diploma or certificate in a related field (e.g., social work,



career development, human resources).
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, database systems, and virtual meeting platforms (Google meets, Teams, etc.).

Experience:

- Background in employment counselling, workshop facilitation, or case management is an asset.
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or at-risk populations is preferred.

Soft Skills:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and maintain long-term relationships with clients and employers.
- Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.
