Title: Groundsperson - Tree Care

Hours: 40 - 50 per week

Status: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Sherwood Park

Wage: $18 - $30 depending on experience

About the Role:

Skill Requirements: Experience pruning and removal of large trees, Climbing Experience, protected work practices, operation of wood chippers and other tree removal equipment (chainsaws, etc) Valid driver's licence required - air brakes an asset but not required, Dependable and reliable part of the team

Work Setting: Park or public area, Landscape contractor, Commercial establishment, Private home, Farm, Institution (hospital, school or church), Landscape maintenance

Specific Skills: Prune and trim trees and plants, assist lead Arborists as necessary, focus on safety in all aspects of job performance, support the work performed by the Tree Crew to maximize productivity

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity,



Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Urban and rural areas in and around Edmonton, Various locations, On-site customer service

Essential Skills: Reading/Writing text, Communication (English), Working with others, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing
