Hiring: Experienced Veterinary Receptionist

We are looking for an experienced veterinary receptionist to join our team at Balmy Beach Pet Hospital.

We are a busy veterinary practice and need someone who is highly organized, efficient, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for someone who has strong customer service skills, communicates well with clients and colleagues, and can manage several tasks at once without getting overwhelmed. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, take initiative, anticipate what needs to be done, and help keep the day running smoothly.

Requirements:

- Minimum 2–3 years of veterinary reception experience is required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a busy reception desk.
- Experience with appointment scheduling, coordinating surgeries, answering phones, responding to emails, handling client inquiries, setting up referrals,



insurance enquiries.
- Ability to handle difficult client interactions professionally and calmly.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to take initiative without needing constant direction.
- Experience with veterinary software is an asset.
- References from previous employers are required.
