The Role
You'll deliver and maintain mission-critical platform infrastructure using a Dev Ops methodology, working with developers, researchers and infrastructure teams to build, automate and scale the services used across the firm. The impact is direct: improving operational efficiency, building CI/CD pipelines and self-service workflows, and making life better for developers and researchers.
You may have deep expertise in one or two areas, but you'll be able to contribute across the whole ecosystem.
Platform Domains
Observability: monitoring, tracing, logging and alerting
Scheduling and orchestration: HPC schedulers and container orchestration, including Kubernetes
Development tools: CI/CD, version control, artifact repositories and developer platforms
Middleware: messaging queues,



service discovery and load balancing
Databases: relational, No SQL and time-series systems
Automation: infrastructure automation, configuration management and self-service enablement
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
4+ years in Dev Ops, SRE or platform engineering
Linux system administration and troubleshooting (Bash, Docker, Kubernetes)
Infrastructure automation and configuration management (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet)
Nice to Have
Observability stack knowledge (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, Vector, Alert Manager)
Database experience (Postgre SQL, Click House, MSSQL, Redis, Foundation DB)
Middleware (Kafka, Consul), HPC schedulers (Slurm) or workflow orchestrators (Airflow, Prefect)
On-prem deployment of tools like Git Lab, Artifactory, CI/CD or Jupyter Hub
API development and extending Kubernetes via custom controllers and CRDs
