My wife and I are expecting our first child in January 2025. We are both shift workers and I am hoping to go back to work in January 2026. We are looking for occasional childcare for 2025 and hoping the same person will be able to help out once we are both back to work.
The schedule we follow is 2 days 2 nights then 4 off. We work 12 hour shifts but out shifts start at different times so it would not be a full 12 hour shift for our childcare. With our work we would need someone who can work days, nights, and weekends.
We have a senior small dog (20lbs) who is home with a fenced yard. He is very low maintenance but was something we wanted to mention in case it is a deal breaker.
