Build powerline trade skills with Forbes Bros. Group of Companies on rotating, in office transmission and distribution projects throughout Ontario. Support safe field operations.

This full-time, temporary Apprentice Lineman role supports power system construction and maintenance under Foreman or Construction Manager guidance. You will assist with overhead and underground lines, substations, related equipment, and field repairs. The role develops drawing interpretation and certification training in an IBEW union setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with constructing and maintaining high- and low-voltage systems
- Install distribution cables, including underground trench cable
- Troubleshoot overhead and underground electrical distribution systems




- Identify hazards and apply appropriate safety controls
- Complete Lineman certification training and required documentation

Requirements:

- Minimum six months powerline construction or related industry experience
- Willingness to complete Lineman certification training
- Ability to distinguish between colours
- Valid driver’s licence and acceptable driver’s abstract
- Ability to perform heavy lifting in varying conditions

Develop powerline expertise through Ontario transmission projects, safety practices, cable installation, troubleshooting, and Lineman certification training.
