Lead state estimation and contemporary C++ development at Ribbit in a hybrid Greater Toronto Area role supporting autonomous aircraft field tests. As a Senior State Estimation Engineer, you will shape the estimation stack for autonomous airplanes. The work combines probabilistic estimation, GNSS/INS integration, sensor fusion, and vision-based navigation. You will collaborate with navigation, controls, hardware, and flight-test teams while mentoring junior engineers.Key Responsibilities: Lead estimation architecture, roadmap, design reviews, and code qualityDevelop estimators for aircraft state, wind, air data, and terrain heightBuild GNSS-denied navigation using vision and alternative sensorsOwn aircraft sensor selection, calibration, synchronization,
and health monitoringDeploy quality metrics and integrity monitoring for downstream usersRequirements: Engineering, computer science, robotics, or related university degreeState estimation or navigation software experience on real hardwareModern C++ on Linux with Eigen and estimation or vision librariesExperience with inertial navigation, GNSS/INS integration, and sensor calibrationEligibility for Government of Canada security clearance and Controlled Goods assessmentApply state estimation, C++, sensor fusion, and autonomous navigation expertise to Ribbit aircraft systems in the Greater Toronto Area.#J-18808-Ljbffr
