As an Apprentice Powerline Technician, you will support construction and maintenance under Foreman or Construction Manager guidance. You will develop skills across overhead and underground power systems, equipment troubleshooting, construction drawings, and safe work practices. The schedule runs Monday through Saturday on a three-weeks-on, one-week-off rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with transmission and distribution system construction and maintenance
- Install underground cables in trenches and maintain distribution cables
- Troubleshoot overhead lines and electrical distribution equipment




- Identify hazards and apply appropriate safety controls
- Interpret site plans and complete trade certification training

Requirements:

- Minimum six months of powerline or related experience
- Willingness to complete training toward trade certification
- Ability to distinguish between colours
- Valid driver’s licence and acceptable driver’s abstract
- Ability to perform heavy lifting in varying weather conditions
