Plan inclusive summer programs for children and youth as a Camp Counsellor with the Town of Ajax, using strong organization and communication skills.

Reporting to recreation program supervisors and coordinators, Camp Counsellors serve participants aged 2.5 to 16 years. You will implement diverse activities, maintain safety, communicate with families and colleagues, and support adaptive programming. The temporary summer assignment includes camps or playground programs, required training, and daily site responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop secure programs, special events, and theme days
- Lead activities and foster positive, inclusive experiences
- Monitor participant safety and respond to emergencies
- Maintain schedules, site checks, equipment,



and supplies
- Complete attendance, program plans, and other administrative tasks

Requirements:

- Be at least 16 years old by June 8, 2027
- Demonstrate organization, planning, and time management skills
- Communicate effectively in oral and written forms
- Obtain Standard First Aid with CPR C certification
- Complete HIGH FIVE certification and required training
