Responsible for the productive use and control of materials, parts and equipment while adhering to City Safety Policies and Procedures as well as the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.



Completes necessary reports.QualificationsCertification as Industrial Millwright in OntarioMust have in-depth knowledge & experience in mechanical & electrical equipment repair and installation with minimum three (3) years experience in mechanical and electrical repairs operationsDemonstrated ability to identify and correct unsafe conditions related to work activitiesUnderstanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations applying to the work activitySufficient clerical ability to complete necessary reportsKnowledge of operating standards, practices & procedures for water/wastewater treatment plants an assetAbility to provide and apply practical problem-solving skillsMust hold or obtain MOE OIT within 3 months and is required to achieve Water and Wastewater Treatment and Distribution Level I certificationComputer skills/knowledge for process control and data entry; record keeping skillsAbility to perform manual labourOn-call availabilityMust possess a valid Ontario Class "G" driver's license.An Equal Opportunity Employer
