We act on complex matters involving business and corporate interests, income determination, support, property division, valuations, parenting disputes, and tax-related issues.We are seeking an associate lawyer who wants to build or continue a long-term practice in family law litigation.We are ideally seeking a lawyer with at least three years' call who can manage files with increasing independence. Family law experience is strongly preferred, but we will consider candidates from other litigation backgrounds who have strong advocacy skills and an interest in building a family law practice.The successful candidate will be capable of working independently, exercising sound judgment, and taking increasing ownership of files based on their level of experience.The RoleDepending on your experience, responsibilities may include:Managing family law litigation files from intake through resolutionDrafting pleadings, applications, affidavits, financial statements, Scott Schedules, offers of settlement, agreements, and written submissionsAnalyzing income, support, business valuation, property division, and other financial issuesConducting examinations for discoveryAttending chambers applications, judicial case conferences, settlement conferences,



and mediationsPreparing witnesses and trial materialsAppearing in courtAssisting senior counsel with complex hearings and trialsAssuming responsibility for your own hearings and trials as appropriateOur associates are not limited to research and drafting.
