Build Ruby on Rails 8 features with Hotwire for BIMM’s multi-year digital platform program, working remotely across Canada or hybrid in Toronto.

As a contract Senior Ruby on Rails Developer, you will strengthen a high-traffic application serving a public website, editorial CMS, and integration hub. You will work across Rails conventions, server-rendered HTML, PostgreSQL, Sidekiq, and third-party APIs. The engagement includes greenfield features and careful changes within an established codebase.

Key Responsibilities:

- Extend Rails 8 models, controllers, jobs, and server-rendered views
- Build Hotwire and Stimulus interactions with Tailwind CSS
- Harden ticketing, event-management, and CRM integrations




- Design versioned APIs supporting a companion mobile application
- Improve performance, security, testing, and seasonal resilience

Requirements:

- Five or more years shipping production Ruby on Rails applications
- Experience with Rails 7 or Rails 8
- Production experience using Hotwire and Stimulus
- Robust PostgreSQL and Sidekiq background
- Four hours of daily Eastern Time overlap
