Shannex is seeking a Continuing Care Assistant for its Halifax community. You will assist with hygiene, daily living, meals, mobility, special needs, documentation, and resident communication. The work supports individualized care and meaningful daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, oral care, and meals
- Support mobility, restorative care, and special resident needs
- Provide snacks, fluid passes, and night lunches while monitoring intake
- Document care, progress notes, incidents, and required audits
- Communicate observations and collaborate on individualized Resident Care Plans

Requirements:

- Completed Continuing Care Assistant program or approved equivalency
- Registration in Nova Scotia’s CCA registry
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification
- Availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of infection prevention and personal care practices
