Operate hydrovac trucks for Copcan Civil across British Columbia’s East and West Kootenay region. Apply vacuum systems, excavation support, and utility daylighting expertise.
As an experienced Vac Truck Operator and Equipment Operator, you will support underground utility, civil, and construction projects. Duties include operating high-pressure water and vacuum systems, exposing utilities, removing debris, and assisting trenching. You will work with crews across Rossland, Trail, Castlegar, Cranbrook, and surrounding communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate vacuum trucks for daylighting, trenching, and excavation support
- Expose underground utilities while minimizing damage risks
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
- Maintain daily logs, inspection reports, and documentation
- Travel throughout the Kootenays for project work
Requirements:
- Vac truck or hydrovac operating experience preferred
- Current valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence required
- Clean driving record and robust safety awareness
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather
- Willingness to travel throughout the Kootenays
