About the Role

Our client, a dynamic charter airline operating out of Kimberley, Northern Cape, is seeking a highly organized and proactive Flight Operations Coordinator. This role is essential for the smooth and efficient scheduling, planning, and execution of all flight operations. You will be the central point of contact for pilots, crew, and clients, ensuring all logistical aspects of flights are managed meticulously. This hybrid position offers a blend of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing you to manage operational planning while benefiting from focused work periods. Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and schedule all flight operations, ensuring optimal utilization of aircraft and crew.
- Liaise with pilots, dispatchers, maintenance, and ground handling services to facilitate flight readiness.
- Prepare and distribute flight plans, weather briefings, and NOTAMs to flight crews.
- Monitor flight progress, providing real-time updates and addressing any operational disruptions.
- Manage crew scheduling, duty times, and rest requirements in accordance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate flight records, logs, and operational documentation.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide support regarding flight details and arrangements.




- Coordinate with regulatory authorities and ensure compliance with aviation laws.
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational procedures.
- Support the Chief Pilot and operations management team with administrative tasks.

Requirements

Proven experience in flight operations, dispatch, or a similar aviation coordination role. Strong understanding of flight planning, air traffic control, and aviation regulations. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask effectively. Proficiency in flight operations software and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders. Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure. Team player with a proactive attitude and a strong work ethic. Relevant aviation certifications or a degree in aviation management is a plus. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including occasional evenings and weekends. Must be detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.
