Actalent seeks a Distribution Design Technologist for its Utilities Division. This permanent, full-time position covers overhead electrical infrastructure and some underground design. You will coordinate stakeholders, complete designs, prepare packages, and perform quality assurance for infrastructure and utilities projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design overhead electrical infrastructure to client and national standards
- Evaluate pole designs using SPIDAcalc non-linear analysis
- Confirm underground solutions with cable pulling calculations
- Prepare feeder, smart meter,



and attachment design packages
- Review peer work and coordinate project stakeholders

Requirements:

- Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma, preferably BCIT Power
- Zero to four years utility distribution design experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- BC Hydro distribution experience is an asset
