Prepare and distribute meals as General Help/Cashier, using food preparation, sanitation, and cash register skills in a Correctional Center setting.

This position supports meal service units through scheduled food production and distribution duties. You will prepare ingredients, cook or pan food, portion meal trays, and deliver carts to pods. The work also includes cleaning, storage organization, food safety procedures, and meal ticket processing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables
- Prepare, cook, or pan food according to schedules
- Count, weigh, and measure production ingredients
- Portion regular and special diet meal trays
- Load, deliver, collect, and unload meal carts

Requirements:

- Grade 12 or equivalent education, training, and experience
- Food Safe Level 1 certificate or provincial equivalent
- Clean criminal record maintained throughout employment
- Effective written and verbal English communication
- Physical ability to perform job-related tasks
