Assess acute medicine and stroke patients at St. Joseph's HealthCentre in Toronto using physiotherapy treatment and critical thinking. This is a full-time temporary assignment.

The Physiotherapist 2L Medicine supports acute general medicine and stroke patients within Unity Health Toronto. Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, you will assess impairments, provide treatment, and contribute to discharge planning. The work requires communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills within an interprofessional team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess and manage physical impairments and disabilities
- Provide treatment, consultation, education, and discharge planning
- Collaborate on comprehensive patient care and complex discharges
- Address educational needs for patients and families




- Support staff, students, and academic community members

Requirements:

- Current valuable-standing Ontario physiotherapy registration
- Master’s Degree or substantial equivalent in Physiotherapy
- Current BLS or willingness to complete during probation
- Acute general medicine or stroke experience preferred
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
