At the heart of our work is a strong commitment to safety, Indigenous values, mentorship, and work-life flexibility.We believe in investing in our people and fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where talented individuals can grow, thrive, and build rewarding, long-term careers.Key Responsibilities Perform high-precision construction layout and as-built surveys to support major industrial construction activitiesOperate surveying instruments and data collection systems to establish, verify, and record site measurementsReview project drawings and specifications to determine survey requirements and layout parametersApply quality assurance procedures and conduct field quality control checks to ensure survey data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards.Complete and maintain field notes, daily reports, and project survey recordsLiaise with project managers, site superintendents, clients, and other trades to coordinate surveying activities with construction schedulesFollow Apex Geomatics’ safety policies, quality standards, and skilled practices at all timesKnowledge & Experience 7+ years of progressive geomatics and surveying experience, preferably within heavy civil, infrastructure, or industrial construction sectorsHands-on experience with Trimble Robotic Total Stations, GNSS equipment, and associated surveying technologyFamiliarity with modern Trimble software, survey data collection, and processing workflows is considered a strong assetPractical knowledge of construction staking,



as-built verification, and survey control methodsExperience working on industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects is preferredRequired Skills & Qualifications Diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent industry experience is considered an assetStrong technical aptitude and the ability to apply surveying methods accurately in active construction environmentsSound analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detailEffective communication and interpersonal skills to work productively with clients, contractors, and project teamsAbility to prioritize tasks, adapt to changing site conditions, and work independently with minimal supervisionA strong commitment to safe work practices, accountability, and delivering high-quality resultsClear written communication skills for maintaining accurate technical recordsValid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean driver’s abstractProfessional, dependable approach to work, with a willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environmentWhy Join Apex Geomatics?
