Lead matte painting for Netflix Animation Studios in Vancouver, using Photoshop, Nuke, and environment creation expertise in a hybrid role. Shape digital worlds for an upcoming feature film while guiding artists and visual development. As Matte Painting Supervisor, you will lead the matte painting team inside NAS for a specific film. You will partner with show leadership to establish visual style, quality standards, and digital environments. Your work spans skies, background environments, set extensions, CG embellishments, and one-off locations integrated into the final film. Key Responsibilities:





Lead Matte Painters and provide daily creative and technical feedback Establish visual standards with VFX and show leadership Supervise matte paintings and environments integrated with CG renders Refine complex hero work to establish quality and style Plan DMP work with Production and Workplace leadership Requirements:

Extensive digital matte painting or setting creation experience Lead or Supervisory experience in animation, VFX, or series Portfolio showing integrated 2D, 2.5D, and CG elements Proficiency with Photoshop and Nuke Knowledge of 3D tools and rendering workflows Bring supervision, environment creation, and compositing expertise to Netflix Animation Studios’ Vancouver feature film production.
