Senior Estimator - Civil ConstructionLocation: Edmonton Area, ABSalary: $130,000-$170,000 + Benefits + Retirement Matching + Profit SharingPosition Summary:Skyline Recruitment is partnering with an established civil construction contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Estimator in the Edmonton area.This permanent, full-time opportunity involves leading estimates for a range of civil infrastructure projects. Working closely with estimating, project management and operations teams, you’ll develop accurate pricing, practical construction approaches and competitive tender submissions.This is a primarily office-based position within a collaborative team, offering varied projects and opportunities for career progression.Key Responsibilities:Lead civil construction estimates from tender review through to submissionReview drawings, specifications and contract documents to identify scope requirementsComplete detailed quantity takeoffs and develop labour, equipment and material pricingEstablish crew requirements, production rates and construction durationsObtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotationsWork closely with operations teams to assess construction methods, resources and project risksIdentify scope gaps,
pricing opportunities and potential cost savingsManage multiple estimates and meet tender deadlinesSupport the handover of successful bids to project delivery teamsProvide guidance and support to less experienced estimatorsQualifications & Experience:5+ years of estimating experience within civil constructionProven ability to independently manage estimates from start to finishExperience pricing work delivered using a contractor’s own crews and equipmentStrong understanding of civil construction methods, equipment capabilities and productivityAbility to interpret drawings, specifications and tender requirementsExperience developing labour, equipment and material costsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction estimating softwarePrevious field experience is considered an assetDiploma or degree in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline is considered an assetKey Competencies:Strong analytical skills and attention to detailPractical construction knowledge and sound commercial judgementExcellent organization and time managementClear communication and a collaborative approachAbility to work independently while supporting the wider teamOwnership of estimate accuracy and tender deadlinesCompensation & Benefits:Base salary of $130,000-$170,000, depending on experience and qualificationsExtended health and dental benefitsRetirement savings matching and paid time offProfit-sharing opportunitiesOpportunities for career development and career progression#J-18808-Ljbffr
