Fabricate structural steel in Grimsby with ATCO Structures, using blueprint interpretation and FCAW welding in an indoor manufacturing facility. Work Monday to Friday.
ATCO Structures seeks a Fitter/Welder for modular building components. This role combines structural fitting, fabrication, welding, and accurate assembly from drawings and specifications. Safety, quality, productivity, and skilled workmanship guide daily production activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair structural steel components
- Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and work orders
- Fit and align metal components accurately
- Perform FCAW and approved welding processes
- Operate fabrication tools, cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment
Requirements:
- Structural welding, fitting, and steel fabrication experience
- Ability to read welding symbols and technical drawings
- Current FCAW certification preferred
- Safe use of hand, power, and welding tools
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds unassisted
