This senior role focuses on commercial lending, credit risk, and loan adjudication. You will assess moderate to high complexity financing files, structure transactions, and support prudent portfolio growth. The work serves small and medium-sized businesses across Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite and authorize loan proposals from $350,000 to $1.5 million
- Determine credit terms, pricing, repayment structures, and covenants
- Review documentation and negotiate transaction structures with internal partners
- Resolve compliance matters and material transaction changes
- Coach employees and support knowledge sharing across teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, accounting, or related field
- Minimum five years’ relevant credit or commercial lending experience
- Demonstrated ability to structure and assess commercial financing transactions
- Solid credit judgment and understanding of risk governance expectations
- Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills
