As a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you provide triage and outreach for individuals with mental illness, substance use, or chronic medical conditions. You assess mental and physical status, counsel clients, and coordinate integrated services. Your practice follows BCCNM standards, VCH policies, and client- and family-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct mental, physical, and psychiatric client assessments
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention during high-risk situations
- Develop, implement, and adjust integrated care plans




- Coordinate client movement across acute and community services
- Support appointments, case conferences, and interdisciplinary meetings

Requirements:

- Current BCCNM registration as an RN or RPN
- Two years’ recent related mental health experience
- Valid British Columbia driver’s license and personal vehicle access
- Knowledge of substance use treatment and psychopharmacology
- Demonstrated CPR, communication, and case coordination skills
