Support inclusive recreation programming as Inclusion Support Staff with the Town of Ajax during March Break 2027. Provide individualized adaptations and participant care.

This temporary position supports children, youth, or young adults with special needs in recreation programs. You will report to inclusion and recreation supervisors while developing action plans, adaptive programming, and participant-specific goals. The role includes behaviour management, communication, and safety responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop daily and weekly participant support action plans
- Implement adaptive recreation programming for special needs participants
- Provide feeding, toileting, clothing, lifting, and transfer assistance




- Administer medication and manage participant behaviours as required
- Respond appropriately to incidents, accidents, and emergencies

Requirements:

- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum nine months to one year of experience
- Experience supporting children, youth, or young adults with special needs
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods
- Current First Aid with CPR C and HIGH FIVE certification
