Qualifications and Experience Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Educational Research, or a related field.

Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, and database management.

Solid knowledge of SQL, database design, reporting tools, and data visualization platforms.

Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including the ability to develop meaningful dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that transform complex data into actionable insights for decision-making.

Experience developing dashboards, reports, and actionable insights from large and complex datasets.

Knowledge of student information systems, educational data, Ministry reporting, and performance indicators.

Understanding of data governance, privacy, security, and quality assurance principles.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Ability to present data effectively to diverse audiences and support data-informed decision-making.

Demonstrated professionalism, accuracy, integrity, and collaborative relationship-building.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in an Ontario school board or educational setting.

Knowledge of Ministry of Education reporting requirements, including OnSIS.

Experience analyzing student achievement, attendance, graduation, pathway, and well-being data.





Experience developing performance dashboards and data visualization tools to support educational improvement planning.

Familiarity with data-informed decision-making frameworks and continuous improvement processes in education.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring that high-quality data and meaningful analysis inform decisions that improve student achievement, well-being, engagement, and success across the Near North District School Board.

The annual salary for this position is $79,281.00 plus a generous benefit package.

As a condition of employment, a current Criminal Reference with Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
