As a Pharmacy Technician with us, you'll play an important role in supporting the safe and effective delivery of specialist oncology pharmacy services at our Windsor centre.

Working closely with our Lead Pharmacist and wider clinical team, you'll help ensure patients receive their medicines safely and efficiently, supporting dispensing services, medicines management and stock control, including oral chemotherapy.

What You'll Do

- Support the delivery of a safe, efficient and accurate dispensing service, including oral chemotherapy medicines.
- Work closely with pharmacists and the wider clinical team to ensure the safe and effective supply of medicines to patients.
- Undertake medicines reconciliation and provide appropriate advice to patients and carers on the safe use of prescribed medicines.
- Manage medicines stock, including ordering, receiving, storage, stock rotation and expiry date checks.
- Provide an efficient medicines top-up service to departments and chemotherapy treatment areas.
- Support procurement activities,



ensuring appropriate stock availability and cost-effective medicines management.
- Maintain accurate records and support timely and accurate medicines charging.
- Contribute to clinical governance activities, including audits and the review of pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, chemotherapy nurses and other healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of patient care.

What You'll Have

- Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Knowledge of dispensing systems, medicines management and pharmacy stock control.
- A good understanding of GPhC professional standards and their application in clinical practice.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-focused approach.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic clinical knowledge and a commitment to maintaining high standards of pharmaceutical care.
- Previous experience dispensing medicines and managing medicines within a hospital workplace would be advantageous.
- Flexibility to support other GenesisCare centres from time to time, where required.
