Build accounting expertise onsite in Hamilton with Excel, reconciliations, and financial reporting for Hamilton Sports Group’s professional sports properties.

As a Junior Accountant reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will support daily accounting activities for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Forge FC, and HSGF. The work includes treasury, general ledger analysis, merchandise accounting, working papers, and recurring reporting. You will manage assigned responsibilities independently while collaborating with finance colleagues across the organization. Accuracy, organization, sound judgment, and dependable follow-through are central to success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support daily treasury activities, bank updates, and cash transaction documentation
- Prepare bank, merchandise, food and beverage reconciliations
- Analyze general ledger activity and prepare working papers




- Maintain fixed-asset records and month-end supporting schedules
- Support HSGF 50/50 game-day operations at scheduled events

Requirements:

- Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and solid Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate reconciliation abilities
- Ability to meet daily and month-end deadlines
- Availability for scheduled Tiger-Cats and Forge FC home games
