Apply Power Engineering knowledge in Lloydminster Thermal operations with Strathcona Resources Ltd. during a four-month summer term beginning May 2027.

Strathcona seeks Student Plant Operators for multiple facilities near Lloydminster. Reporting to the Steam Chief, students support plant operations, troubleshoot equipment, and gain practical SAGD experience. The term also provides steam time toward a 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor assigned plant equipment under experienced operator guidance
- Assist with operational and process-related troubleshooting
- Perform housekeeping, equipment monitoring, and basic maintenance
- Follow safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures
- Gain hands-on experience with SAGD equipment and processes

Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in second-year Power Engineering studies
- Successful completion of required coursework and examinations
- Hold a 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate
- Hold or transfer certification recognized in Saskatchewan
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
