As the successful candidate you will be responsible for modeling complex structures and producing general arrangement, layout and detail drawings while adhering to company procedures, engineering criteria, design standards and applicable codes. You will use Auto CAD 3 D and interface regularly with other disciplines, vendors and customers. Field visits to site may be required as well as a strong commitment to fostering and maintaining strong relationships with our customers.A Day in the Life Assist Engineers and other Designers to deliver design drawings and final construction/details drawings for engineering projectsPrepare supporting information by developing bills of material for concrete & steel structuresDevelop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations,



specification sheets and other dataResponsible for drawing presentation, accuracy and determining sufficient level of detail required to facilitate fabricationMaintain drawing consistency with others in the departmentModify drawing by analyzing, resolving, and incorporating changesDeliver drawing packages within the project scheduleComplete documentation packages and produce drawing setsWhat You'll Bring to the Team 5+ years of design experience using Auto CAD 2 D and 3 D and Pro Steel in an industrial setting, preferably in a consulting environmentDiploma of Technology in a civil/structural design program is preferredRegistration as a ASc T or CTech is an assetWorking knowledge of concrete and structural steel designDemonstrated experience with Auto CAD and Auto PlantExcellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environmentTechnical competency and strong attention to detailWhy You'll Love Working Here: We believe that when people feel valued, supported, and inspired, great things happen.
