and overall service delivery.Primary Duties ResponsibilitiesBank Reconciliations & Entries in QuickBooks and Xero to ensure the accuracy of financial dataManage the Accounts Payable processManage the Accounts Receivable & Invoicing processAssist with the preparation of Year-end RecordsFile T4 & T5 Income Tax ReturnsPrepare & Process Payroll & Source Deductions ensuring compliance with relevant regulationsPrepare Government Slips and GST/HST ReturnsPrepare Records of EmploymentCommunicate with CRA about Internal & Client FilesAssist clients with new company setups in QuickBooksSupport the design and implementation of enhancements to accounting and finance processes, systems, and controlOther duties as requiredRelevant Experience2-5 years of experience with full-cycle accounting or bookkeeping, with preference given to applicants with more experience in Quickbooks Online and XeroStrong knowledge of account reconciliation, account analysis, bank reconciliations, processing payroll and managing accounts payable/receivableMethodical mindset with the ability to manage several accounts/duties concurrentlyMinimum of 1-2 years of Canadian corporate tax exposure with preference given to candidates with experienceNice to HaveFamiliarity with Canadian income tax laws and regulationsWorking knowledge of payroll applications such as Wagepoint, Payment Evolution and QuickbooksWorking knowledge of accounting-related applications such as Dext, Plooto, Bill.Com, Stripe, Shopify, Dropbox and Google Workspace/SuiteExperience within an accounting firm environment is strongly preferredRemote Job ConsiderationsWe are a fully remote work environment.
