Develop structural engineering skills with TYLin in Calgary, supporting building designs through modeling, calculations, drawings, and field reviews.

This Summer 2027 internship suits current third-year Civil Engineering or structures-focused Architectural Engineering undergraduates and graduate students. You will work with project teams on commercial, institutional, residential, renovation, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation projects. The experience includes design development through construction and hands-on learning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with structural design and building drawings
- Support projects from conceptual design through construction
- Perform field reviews during construction
- Document existing building conditions during site visits




- Assist with computer modeling and hand calculations

Requirements:

- Current third-year undergraduate or graduate student standing
- Accredited Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering program enrollment
- At least one steel or concrete design class completed
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and engineering software
- Solid organization, communication, integrity, and collaboration skills
