Litigation Lawyer – Civil, Family & Foreclosure | Greater Vancouver RJOHNSON Legal Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Litigation Lawyer to join a growing and well-established law firm in the Greater Vancouver area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with a minimum of 3 years’ call who enjoys managing a diverse litigation practice, with a particular emphasis on civil litigation, family law, and foreclosure matters.

Mandarin language skills would be a strong asset , particularly when communicating with Chinese-speaking clients.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work independently, handle meaningful files, and contribute to the continued growth of a collaborative legal team.

The Role Manage a varied caseload involving civil litigation, family law, foreclosure proceedings, and related real estate disputes.

Handle foreclosure matters, including court applications, mortgage enforcement, and related proceedings.

Draft pleadings, affidavits, applications, written submissions, and other litigation documents.

Attend chambers applications, contested hearings, and other BC Supreme Court proceedings.

Conduct legal research, develop litigation strategies, and provide practical legal advice.

Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and trial preparation.

Manage files independently while ensuring compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.





Maintain strong client relationships and provide explicit, timely communication throughout the litigation process.

Work collaboratively with lawyers, legal assistants, and other members of the firm.

Qualifications Member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia.

Minimum 3 years’ call to the BC Bar , with experience in civil litigation and family law.

Practical experience handling foreclosure proceedings and related litigation.

Strong drafting, advocacy, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Experience appearing before the BC Supreme Court, including chambers applications.

Ability to independently manage multiple files and competing deadlines.

Excellent organizational skills, professional judgment, and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and client communication skills.

Experience with mortgage enforcement, debt recovery, or secured lending disputes would be an asset.
