Our energy and resources client is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Operations lead to assist with VMWare production environments, AWS workloads, including backup and disaster recovery ownership, M, and Azure Active Directory Administration.

Calgary based role - Candidates will be in-office in downtown Calgary 5 days/week to start, then move to 4 days/week (This will be a contract-to-hire role) Must Haves 7+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Analyst or Infrastructure Lead focusing on I T Operations with project ownership (not just support) Hands-on administration of VMware virtualization environments at production scale Administration of Microsoft / Azure AD environments with a focus on AWS workloads Ownership of Backup and Disaster Recovery platforms including Veeam Vendor management , contract management, and enterprise network operations with Fortinet or Palo Alto platforms Solid Nice to Haves: Oil & gas, engineering, or technical consulting industry background Familiarity with Dell EMC Avamar / Data Domain and Net





Backup Fortinet NSE certification Experience operating within a lean IT team environment Exposure to AI platform deployment or digital tooling rollout initiatives Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operational health of on-premises infrastructure, AWS workloads, and Microsoft Cloud services Lead infrastructure projects from scoping and vendor engagement through implementation, testing, and acceptance Operate network infrastructure including Fortinet firewall and switching environments Administer backup and disaster recovery operations across Veeam, Dell EMC Avamar / Data Domain, and Net

Backup environments Manage user access, identity administration, software access, and security policy enforcement Maintain vendor relationships, procurement support activities, and SLA tracking Build and maintain runbooks, architecture diagrams, and procedural documentation
