About the Role

Our client, a reputable contractor specializing in electrical infrastructure, is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Systems Installation Electrician to join their team in Kimberley, Northern Cape . This role is essential for the safe and efficient installation of electrical systems in various commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of electrical codes, wiring practices, and the installation of power distribution systems, lighting, and control circuits. You will be responsible for executing installations according to blueprints and specifications, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards. This position requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a project team. Your contributions will be crucial to delivering reliable and safe electrical infrastructure for our client's diverse projects. The role demands a commitment to precision and adherence to stringent safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, connect, and test electrical wiring, systems, conduits, and components in accordance with electrical codes and blueprints.
- Install and wire lighting systems, power outlets, distribution panels, and control equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems to identify and resolve faults.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Ensure all installations are performed safely and comply with relevant building codes and industry standards.




- Perform routine maintenance and repair on electrical systems and equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
- Document installation activities, materials used, and any encountered issues.

Requirements

- A qualified Electrician certification (e.g., Wireman's License) recognized in South Africa.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an installation electrician in commercial or industrial environments.
- Solid knowledge of electrical theory, installation methods, and safety procedures.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Experience with various types of electrical systems, including low and high voltage installations.
- Skilled in the use of electrical testing equipment and hand/power tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work in the Kimberley area and potentially travel to surrounding regions.
- A valid driver's license is required.
