SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation is hiring for a Casual Kitchen Staff 1.




About Your New Role
Reporting to the Supervisor, Camp Operations, the Kitchen Staff 1 supports the daily operation of the camp kitchen by preparing meals and ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment while working collaboratively with other kitchen and housekeeping staff.
Your Key Responsibilities

- Prepare soups, lunches, suppers, sauces, and other menu items as required.
- Taking down the steam line following meal service.
- Properly store and utilize leftover food.
- Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment and tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring overall general kitchen cleanliness.
- Follow recipes and accurately complete temperature logs.
- Adhere to production schedules and daily workload.
- Monitor expiration dates and ensure proper food rotation practices.
- Assist with weekly menu preparation in conjunction with the medic and staff, always keeping special diets and allergies in mind.
- Shop for groceries on a weekly basis, ensure that grocery costs are kept at a minimum.
- Ensure that meals and snacks are ready on time.
- Responsible to ensure that Health Standards are being met and liaise with the local Health Inspector when required.
- Any other duties as assigned.

- Good time management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of food and catering trends, quality, production, sanitation, and presentation required.
- Knowledge of methods and procedu
