Lead major mining and resources projects for WSP from an available Ontario or Québec office, applying strategic vision and commercial expertise. Guide complex multidisciplinary assignments across Canada from development through execution.
As Director, Major Projects - Resources, you will report to the Vice President and Resources leadership team. You will lead pursuits, planning, governance, and delivery while strengthening client relationships. The work spans consulting, EPCM, PMC, and owner-representative assignments.
Key Responsibilities: Lead portfolios of major mining and resources projects
Set strategies for safety, quality, schedule, budget, and outcomes
Strengthen governance, controls, reporting, risk management, and decisions
Shape pursuits through proposals, interviews, negotiations, and sponsorship




Develop dispersed teams and future major-project leaders
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geoscience, or related discipline
15+ years delivering mining, resources, infrastructure, or industrial projects
Advanced project governance, controls, contracts, forecasting, and risk knowledge
Experience across owner, EPCM, consulting, contractor, and PMC environments
Executive communication, negotiation, and stakeholder leadership capabilities
Direct major mining and resources delivery at WSP through governance, commercial leadership, client relationships, and multidisciplinary team development.
