The Nutrition Services Department seeks a temporary part-time Food Service Assistant. The work supports protected, nutritious meals and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities include meal preparation, tray delivery, dishwashing, cleaning, and food service.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare patient meals in the Bpod area
Deliver meal trays to patients
Assist with each dishwashing procedure phase
Handle food, supplies, and equipment safely and sanitarily
Clean equipment and departmental areas following sanitary procedures
Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent
Current Food Handlers Training and Certification
Ability to operate cash registers, count money, and make change
Pleasant communication with staff and the public
Ability to stand long periods and lift moderate weight
