Manage healthcare purchasing for Labrador Grenfell Health using vendor coordination and purchase order expertise across variable daytime shifts. This Buyer IIA role supports accurate procurement.
The Buyer IIA receives and reviews requisitions for completeness and accuracy. You will liaise with vendors, issue purchase orders, and select purchasing methods. Procurement may include direct, emergency, and standing offer purchases for supplies and capital equipment.
Key Responsibilities: Review requisitions for completeness and accuracy
Liaise with vendors about products and procurement questions
Create and issue purchase orders to suppliers
Determine appropriate purchasing methods for each purchase
Finalize direct, emergency,



and standing offer purchases
Requirements: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university
Three-year Business Management diploma from an approved college
Recognized purchasing certification such as Supply Chain Management Qualified
At least two years buying experience within four years
Computer application experience; Meditech experience is an asset
Apply procurement judgment, vendor communication, and purchasing experience as a Buyer IIA supporting Labrador Grenfell Health.
