Reporting to the Lead, Financial Reporting and Asset Accounting, this senior role prepares accurate financial reports and evaluates non-routine transactions. You will advise Finance and operations teams on system and process requirements supporting business activities. The work includes technical accounting, financial statements, audits, and policy updates.
Key Responsibilities: Assess complex transactions under IFRS, including revenue, leases, and derivatives
Prepare audit-ready technical accounting memos and financial presentations
Coordinate consolidated financial statements, notes, audits, and fieldwork




Monitor IFRS changes and lead policy and process updates
Support internal controls and deliver accounting training
Requirements: Undergraduate degree in business or related discipline
CPA designation and eight years of relevant experience
Five years of public accounting experience
Four years of oil and gas industry experience
Advanced Microsoft Excel and robust analytical skills
Bring CPA expertise, IFRS judgment, and oil and gas accounting experience to PetroChina Canada’s Calgary Finance team.
