Support daily living and independence as a Health Care Aide in Winnipeg’s home care program, providing protected personal care and direct client support.
Under general supervision, this Health Care Aide assists clients with daily living activities in community homes and other care settings. The work includes direct care within established standards, policies, and procedures. Candidates need a recognized Health Care Aide course and minimum Grade 10 education.
Key Responsibilities: Assist clients with activities of daily living
Provide safe, effective personal care
Support client independence and optimum health
Communicate with clients, families, and coworkers
Organize and prioritize assigned workload
Requirements: Recognized Health Care Aide course completion
Minimum Grade 10 education under Manitoba standards
English communication skills, oral and written
Ability to work independently or within teams
Ability to work shifts and weekends
Use personal care, communication, and daily living support skills to help Winnipeg clients maintain independence across home care services.
