As an Occupational Therapist I, you will deliver evidence-informed services across Medical/Surgical Units, Emergency, ICU/CCU, and outpatient WULF support. The work includes occupational performance, functional independence, and meaningful occupations. You will collaborate with clients, families, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders throughout care.
Key Responsibilities: Provide triage, screening, consultation, assessment, and diagnosis
Develop and evaluate collaborative rehabilitation plans
Deliver treatment, education, prevention, and self-management support
Support transitions, referrals, and case management
Participate in quality improvement,



mentoring, and student supervision
Requirements: Occupational therapy bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited program
Active or eligible Alberta College of Occupational Therapists registration
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support for Health Care Provider certification
Minimum one-year acute care experience within the last five years
Effective communication, prioritization, problem-solving, and independent practice skills
Use acute care assessment, rehabilitation, and communication skills to support clients across Sturgeon Community Hospital services.
