About the Position: Whish Money Canada is looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to join our team in Montréal and manage the day-to‑day AML/ATF compliance function. The role requires strong hands‑on Canadian compliance experience and knowledge of FINTRAC requirements.

Key Tasks:

Manage and maintain the Canadian AML/ATF compliance program

Perform transaction monitoring, investigations and escalations

Prepare and submit FINTRAC regulatory reports, including STRs, LCTRs and EFTRs

Manage KYC/CDD, PEP/HIO and sanctions screening and ongoing monitoring

Review and update AML policies, procedures and risk assessments

Maintain required compliance records and documentation

Support FINTRAC examinations, audits and effectiveness reviews

Monitor Canadian regulatory developments and requirements

Requirements:

5–7 years of Canadian AML/compliance experience

CAMS certification

Robust knowledge of FINTRAC and PCMLTFA requirements





Hands‑on experience in transaction monitoring and regulatory reporting

Excellent analytical, investigative and communication skills

Legally authorized to work in Canada

Nice to Have:

Experience within an MSB, remittance, payments, fintech or financial institution

Experience supporting FINTRAC examinations or effectiveness reviews

Technical Skills:

Experience with transaction monitoring and KYC/AML systems

Familiarity with sanctions and PEP screening tools

Experience with compliance case management and regulatory reporting systems

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
