Reporting to the Store Manager, this Assistant Manager helps manage a major retail operation for the BC Liquor Distribution Branch. The position focuses on customer service, teamwork, staff morale, scheduling, training, and store duties. It also supports stock control, security, Branch policies, and possible labor relations matters.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure positive customer service throughout the retail operation
Supervise staff and develop effective teamwork
Train staff and schedule assignments across shifts
Support stock levels, stock variances, and store security
Participate in store duties and labor relations matters
Requirements: Secondary school diploma or equivalent certificate
One year of recent customer-facing service experience
Six months of recent supervisory experience
Criminal record check and Serving It Right certification
Ability to lift liquor cases up to 50 pounds
