As Senior Producer, Story Development, you shape local news coverage and oversee reporters, producers, editors, writers, and packagers. You collaborate with audience growth leaders to turn insights into editorial action and refine treatments for mobile, streaming, live, and on-demand platforms. The work supports public service journalism and relevant programming for GTA communities.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee teams responsible for developing and crafting stories
Ensure stories address transparent audience needs
Identify follow-ups and pitch new stories
Lead teams through breaking news coverage
Provide feedback and coaching to editorial teams
Requirements: Seven years of related editorial newsroom leadership experience
Strong daily news journalism and storytelling experience
Extensive knowledge of journalistic standards and practices
Understanding of audience needs and consumption trends
Leadership experience during significant organizational change
