Qualifications

University Degree in Occupational Therapy

Membership in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)

Valid Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle

Minimum of 1 year of general OT mental health experience





Completion of at least one of the following courses: CBT, ACT, DBT (if not completed, there is an opportunity to take one of these courses within your first year at FA)

What is a day in the life of a FA Occupational Therapist?

Assess and treat individuals with neurological, orthopedic, mental health conditions, and injuries

Assist clients with establishing and meeting meaningful goals within their home and community settings

Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on occupational analysis and clinical reasoning

Liaise with a variety of community partners and rehabilitation professionals to facilitate client goals and independence

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training sessions and establishing personal networks

Pay: CA$45.00 – CA$70.00 per hour
