Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Italian Speaking

HealthOPM staffing agency is recruiting an Italian-speaking Personal Support Worker (PSW) for casual shifts in Burlington, Ontario. We are looking for compassionate and dependable PSWs who can communicate in Italian and provide quality, resident-centred care to older adults.

The Role

- Assist residents with bathing, personal care, dressing, grooming and activities of daily living.
- Support mobility, transfers, repositioning and mealtime needs.
- Communicate with Italian-speaking residents to support their comfort and daily care needs.
- Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to the nursing team.
- Follow resident care plans,



infection-control practices and safety procedures.
- Provide respectful, compassionate and person-centred care.

Requirements

- Recognized Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate.
- Ability to speak and communicate effectively in Italian.
- Previous long-term care, retirement home or senior-care experience preferred.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification, as required.
- Vulnerable Sector Check and required health/immunization documentation.
- Reliable transportation to Burlington.
- Adaptable availability to pick up casual shifts.
- Ability to attend facility orientation and start as soon as possible.
